Help us Spread the Word: If you know players who might be interested in lacrosse but haven't tried it yet, help us make sure they know that MLA will take all players regardless of experience and place them on a developmentally appropriate team. Summer lacrosse is a great off-season activity for hockey players, soccer players, and basketball players, and it just might become their favorite sport! Please help us spread the word and become part of our grass-roots recruiting network.
The Minnetonka Lacrosse Association Board would like to provide an update on extended spring/summer registration, as we work to manage the impacts of COVID-19. As a Board, we are committed to providing each player with the opportunity to play lacrosse this year. We will continue to follow the lead of the CDC, state, and Minnetonka School District. Our hope is to begin practices and games as soon as it is safe to do so.
If you have not registered for the spring and summer lacrosse seasons, we have extended the deadline until Sunday, April 19th. Please register your players for lacrosse as soon as possible — we have implemented a "register now, pay later" policy, so you will not be charged at this time. For MLA to make season plans, it is critical that we know how many players intend to participate.
As soon as the Board determines the scope of the seasons, we will set appropriate registration fees. All registrants will receive an email with information on fees and how to pay them. Fees may be prorated. If financial circumstances require you to cancel, there will be no penalty.
Registration Opens: Monday, March 2
Registration Closes: Sunday, April 19
2020 Parent Information Meeting: April 20 from 7-8:30 PM in "The Forum" at MHS.
Attendance is not required, but strongly encouraged. This will be your chance to ask questions and get information that may not be communicated elsewhere.
SEASON: The 10U, 12U, and 14U seasons run from early May to late July. May will be “preseason” (meaning practices only, with possible preparatory scrimmages against other associations). Games will start in June and run through late July, with tournaments scheduled for late July and the first weekend of August.
6U and 8U seasons run from early May to late June.
Effective 9/1/19 through 8/31/20
