2019 Minnetonka Girls’ Lacrosse Winter Clinics

The Minnetonka Lacrosse Association (MLA) invites all girls’ lacrosse players to register for our annual series of Winter Clinics coming up on Saturday mornings in January and February 2019. Our Winter Clinics will be broken out into groups for beginner, intermediate, and advanced lacrosse players from 1st to 8th grade.

DATES: 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, and 2/16

TIME: 8-9 a.m. for 12U-14U; 9-10 a.m. 8U-10U

LOCATION: Tonka Dome

COST: $99 for 6 sessions

For beginning players, these clinics offer an affordable (only $16.50/session!) chance to develop fundamental skills in advance of the spring (March-May) and summer (June-July) lacrosse seasons and to discover how much fun lacrosse can be through game-style drills.

For emerging players, these clinics provide a no-pressure way to refine fundamental skills and expand their understanding of fundamental principles of play (“lax IQ”) with our experienced coaching staff.

For advanced players, our 2019 clinics will offer a chance to practice under the guidance of dedicated, Minnetonka coaches and Player Development Director Patrick Crandall. Our coaches will be assisted by varsity players, meaning that this represents not only a chance for developed players to take their skills to the next level with our next-level coaches, but also a prime opportunity to connect with varsity and prep-team coaches and players.

EQUIPMENT: For beginning players, lacrosse equipment is not required, but we do strongly encourage all players to bring their own water bottle, stick, goggles and mouth guard. All players should wear athletic shoes, turf shoes, or non-metal cleats.

GOALIES REGISTER FOR FREE! We encourage players to try out the goalie position during these six clinic sessions. It's an easy, a no-pressure way to get introduced to the position and to develop fundamental goalie skills and positional knowledge. For new goalies, we will have goalie-specific equipment on hand, but all goalies must wear their own protective athletic cup.
