Minnetonka Lacrosse is at the forefront of developing the girls youth players. We are proud to be part of the fastest-growing youth sport in America and intend to foster a love for the sport of lacrosse through fun drills and competitive play. All skill levels are accepted, beginners are encouraged!
There are two seasons for girls 10U, 12U & 14U lacrosse:
Spring (March-end to May) Tournament May 29th - 31st. (This is the season that you are registering for now.)
Summer (June-end to July) Tournament July 31-August 2nd.
Players can sign up for one or both seasons.
We encourage participation in both seasons.
New this year - option to sign up for both Spring and Summers seasons now, and get a $50 discount off the combined cost of both seasons. Details and payment plans on the Spring registration page.
The MSSLAX competitive league we play in encompasses all girls' lax teams in the twin cities and surrounding area (e.g. Edina, Stillwater, Eden Prairie, Lakeville. etc.).
Minnetonka is planning on fielding one to two teams at each age level (10U, 12U and 14U). Once the first team threshold is met, a team will be added if registration numbers permit. Final team count will depend on participation, so sign up early to ensure your spot on the team.
Minnetonka serves the Minnetonka School District as stated in its mission. For this reason we give priority for roster spots to players who reside, or open-enroll, in the Minnetonka School District. We welcome players from outside the Minnetonka School District if space allows at the close of registration. Those players should email girlsyouthdir@mtkalax.org to be added to a "first come, first served" wait list.
Plan on 2-4 outdoor practices a week, weekday evenings and weekends weather permitting.
At the beginning of the season there will be indoor dome practices to account for weather conditions.
Games vary week to week and can be on any day of the week and begin in April for Spring season. All players are expected to attend both practices and games.
Spring registration fees (includes uniform):
There is also an additional cost of $30 for the mandatory US Lacrosse membership (provides insurance coverage).
