LEAGUE

Minnetonka Girls Youth Lacrosse participates in the Minnesota Schoolgirls Lacrosse League. We will play within MSlax league rules and compete against Twin Cities and surrounding area teams.

TEAMS

We will roster one or two teams, registration numbers permitting, at the 10U, 12U, and 14U levels. Once the first team threshold is met, a second team will be added if registration numbers permit. Final team count will depend on participation, so sign up early to ensure your spot on the team.  We will have one team at the 8U level.

ELIGIBILITY

Minnetonka serves the Minnetonka School District as stated in its mission. For this reason, we give priority for roster spots to players who reside, or open-enroll, in the Minnetonka School District. We welcome players from outside the Minnetonka School District if space allows at the close of registration. Those players should email girlsyouthdir@mtkalax.org to be added to a "first come, first served" waitlist.

USA LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP

A current USA LACROSSE membership is required to register with Minnetonka Youth Lacrosse. The annual membership fee is $30.00. Look up your membership status here OR register and pay your $30 membership fee at www.USAlacrosse.com

EQUIPMENT

MSLAX requires full lacrosse equipment. This means:

  • Girls lacrosse stick
  • Certified lacrosse goggles
  • Fitted mouth guard: not clear or white, and Invisalign doesn't count
  • Proper athletic footwear for play on field turf (typically molded rubber or plastic athletic cleats; no metal cleats). Cleats are HIGHLY recommended because practices and games will be played on grass and turf.

US Lacrosse has an in-depth equipment guide here

Please check all equipment to ensure it is legal and up to 2023 USA Lacrosse safety standards: USAlacrosse.com/equipment
