Play Up/Play Down Policy

The Minnetonka Youth Lacrosse Association (MYLA) prioritizes the development, safety, and enjoyment of every player. Our "Play Up & Play Down" policy is designed to ensure all participants have the best possible experience while promoting skill development and appropriate competition.

By implementing this Play Up & Play Down Policy, we aim to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every player can thrive, grow, and enjoy the game of lacrosse.

Boys' Team Size Policy

This policy establishes clear minimum and maximum roster sizes for boys’ lacrosse teams, along with rules for registration, team formation, practice players, late registrations, and inter-team player movement.

By enforcing strict minimums and maximums, MYLA provides a fair, development-focused environment while ensuring sustainable growth at each level.

Boys' Tryout Criteria & Evaluation Process

The goal of evaluations is to place players on teams where they can develop, compete, and enjoy the game. Results are used to form A teams for 10U, 12U, and 14U, and balanced teams across other levels when multiple teams exist.
